It is a pairs tournament. There is no rolling of the jack/ The jack can be placed either at one of two preset locations (basically short or long). It is a five end game, three bowls per player and is usually completed in 25 minutes. Scoring is as follows:
- any player who touches the jack 3 points
- after the lead bowls – closest to the jack 3 points
- after skip bowls – closest to the jack 10 points
- second closest 5 points
- third closest 3 points
It is not a game for the best bowlers. It is a game that likes consistency, allows for multiple games in a night and is all about fun.
We could hold 2 nights of giving it a try before you decide. Start in July and finish at the end of August. No cost to enter and I will provide a trophy for the champions.
